Durant extended its winning streak to five games as it beat Plant 2-1 on Wednesday in an 8A regional quarterfinal. The Cougars (18-7) move on to face Steinbrenner in a regional semifinal Tuesday.

Joey Jimpie pitched Northeast to a 10-0 win over Armwood on Wednesday in a 7A regional quarterfinal. The Vikings (23-6) will take on Brandon in Tuesday’s regional semifinal.

Hillsborough bounched back from a district final loss to edge Winter Haven 2-1 in a 7A regional quarterfinal. The Terriers (18-7) will play Gaither in a rematch of that district final, which Gaither won 3-1.
