Highlights, Scores and Recaps for Tuesday, April 19th, 2016

Northeast scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth to break a tie and beat Dixie Hollins 6-5 on Tuesday in a 7A-10 quarterfinal. Lucas Smith was the winning pitcher for the Vikings (20-6), who move on to today’s semifinal against top-ranked Osceola.

In another 7A-10 game, Tyler Edling earned the win as Mitchell scored three in the bottom of the fifth to defeat Clearwater 5-2. The fourth-seeded Mustangs will take on Sunlake in a semifinal today.

St. Petersburg won its second in a row and third in its past four after a six-game losing streak, defeating Pinellas Park 5-3 in an 8A-7 quarterfinal. The fifth-seeded Green Devils (7-18) will face top-ranked East Lake in a semifinal tonight.
