Highlights, Scores and Recaps for Tuesday, March 15th, 2016

Justin Stewart earned the win as Bartow edged Kathleen 4-3 on Tuesday in an 8A-11 game. The win kept the Yellow Jackets (6-5) tied with George Jenkins at the top of the district at 5-1.

Travis Starkey went 2-for-3 with a double, and Andrew Young added two hits and two runs for Clearwater in its 5-0 win over Largo. Garrison Bryant struck out five in three innings as the Tornadoes bounced back from Friday’s loss at Sunlake to improve to 7-6.

Cole Cooper earned the win as Sickles broke a tie with a four-run fifth and staved off a three-run rally by Hillsborough to win 8-6.
