Highlights, Scores and Recaps for Saturday, March 12th, 2016

Blaine Wellslager hit a two-run home run in the top of the seventh to lead McKeel to a 3-1 win over previously undefeated Berkeley Prep on Saturday. It was the fifth win in a row for the Wildcats (10-2), while the Buccaneers fell to 11-1.

Jake West doubled in the winning run in the top of the seventh to lift Armwood to a 4-2 win over Wharton in the opening round of the Saladino Tournament. Gareth Johnson pitched a complete game to earn the win, and Terrence Doston went 2-for-4 with a run and three stolen bases for the Hawks (5-7), who won their second in a row.

Riverview and Brooks DeBartolo scored upsets Saturday. Riverview edged Newsome 5-4 to improve to 4-8 while Brooks nipped Gaither 2-1 to run its record to 4-7.
