Bayshore’s Gagliano Stifles the Gulf Coast HEAT
Ryan Gagliano tossed seven strong innings to lead his Bayshore Bruins past the Gulf Coast HEAT 3-1 on Thursday night. Pitching off his home mound, Gagliano surrendered just one unearned run on three scattered hits. He struck out six and walked four.
Gagliano also benefited from a strong showing at the plate by teammate Jared Richardson. Hitting from the lead-off spot, Richardson went 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI. He staked his pitcher to an early lead in the bottom of the first by looping a single into left-center field and scoring on a base hit by Kanobby McCarty.
Gagliano gave up his only run in the next inning when Caleb Batson reached on an error and was driven in on a single down the right field line by Matt DiLorenzo.
Richardson doubled home Charlie Mick in the bottom half of the second to regain the lead for Bayshore. He himself was doubled in by Yiesel Ur in the sixth to cap off the scoring and secure the win.
Adam Misarik was responsible for two of HEAT’s three hits, recording singles in the first and sixth inning.
With their second consecutive win Bayshore improves to 3-4, while the HEAT drop to 4-4
